After 13 years, we bid an emotional farewell at the end of this month to Holly Newton, our Director of Operations, as she embarks on an exciting new chapter.
Holly’s fantastic expertise and dedication have been fundamental to our success over the years. Her positive impact has resonated with both our customers and team members alike, and whilst the entire VLE Support family will deeply miss Holly, our team remains committed to providing you, our valued customers, with the same outstanding service, support, and efficiency you’ve come to expect.
We wish Holly every success for the future and offer our heartfelt thanks to her for all her hard work over the years.
Goodbye from Holly
I have thoroughly enjoyed my thirteen years with Midas Systems and then VLE Support, where I’ve had the privilege of growing from a Customer Support role to Director of Operations. During this time, I’ve always felt supported by the company, particularly as I balanced the demands of raising a young family.
After some careful thought, I realised I needed to make a tough choice about where to focus my energy and have decided to focus on a new career as a natural health practitioner.
The whole team have been so supportive of my decision, whilst also letting me know how much I will be missed. Tears have been shed and I’m sure they won’t be the last as I work towards my final day with the company on Monday 31st March.
Throughout my career at VLE Support, I’ve always loved making people’s work lives easier, whether by guiding my team with clear direction to help them succeed or helping customers navigate our software to boost their productivity. I take pride in knowing that the work I do has a direct impact on making people’s jobs simpler and more efficient.
During my handover, I’ve had a chance to think about all the different roles I’ve had with the company over the years and I’m grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had along the way.
I’m very pleased that Clay Specht joined VLE Support last August – he has already proved himself to be an excellent addition to the team. Having initially focused on designing our new eApprentice product, everyone has been really impressed by his expert knowledge and broad skills set. Clay previously worked in the Apprenticeship team at City of Portsmouth College and has a background in project management and software design and development.
Clay will now be the Product Manager for eSignUp as well as for our new eApprentice product, supporting customers along with Jacqueline and the rest of our customer support team.
I have also been training Clay up on eSpirALS, as well as Sarah Jordan, who will be continuing to work with Alison and our tech team to support eSpirALS customers moving forwards.
I’m really pleased that Clay will become ‘the new Holly’, although we perhaps took this too far at the recent company get-together (see below picture – the blonde wig being all Clay’s idea!)
I would like to wish you all the best in the future – it has been a pleasure working with you all.
Best wishes, Holly
